The future of healthcare if we do nothing: what we must adapt now so we are resilient to the effects of climate change
On 10 November, the Royal College of Physicians co-hosted an event at COP26 in Glasgow with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
This COP is the first ever to have a Health Pavilion, which was hosted by the World Health Organisation. It is crucial that the health voice and that of the physician community is central to discussions about tackling the climate emergency – this event aimed to demonstrate that effects of climate change on health already are significant, and the impact will continue to grow and worsen unless we act.
