What is the pandemic teaching us about workforce planning? - 10th May, 2021, 6:00 pm (UK)

What is the pandemic teaching us about workforce planning?

Workforce is arguably the biggest challenge facing the NHS. The pandemic has underlined the importance of having the right amount of doctors, nurses and other clinicians.

This previously member-only webinar is now open for all to watch.

You will hear direct testimony from physicians about their experiences of working in the NHS before COVID-19, and the impact the pandemic has had on them and their team. The panel will discuss both ongoing and planned initiatives to improve recruitment and retention, and how the new health and care bill later this year could be an opportunity to establish legal accountability and transparency on NHS staffing.

Our panellists

- Anita Charlesworth, CBE, director of research and the REAL Centre, Health Foundation
- Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP, chair, health and social care select committee
- Prerana Issar, chief people officer, NHS England
- Professor Wendy Reid, education, quality and medical director, Health Education England
